Membership Types
USMA offers membership options designed for physicians, residents, fellows, and medical students at different stages of training and practice.
All memberships include access to USMA educational resources, professional tools, and member programming.
General Membership
PRICE
$250 each year
Qualified Members will:
Posses a U.S. degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or a recognized International equivalent to a U.S. MD or DO degree;
Be accepted by the Board of Trustees after a favorable evaluation of the candidate’s ethics, professional status, and professional activities at the time of the application for membership.
Rights and Privileges:
Attendance to all meetings of the USMA;
Eligible to seek election to serve as a voting member of the House of Delegates (HOD);
Eligible to vote for the election of Delegates to the HOD;
Exclusive CME products;
Exclusive CME business support products;
Participation in shaping USMA positions on public policy, medical education, maintenance of certification, and scope of practice.

Resident & Fellow Membership

Free
Qualified Members will:
Be currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. residency or fellowship program (MD or DO)
Provide verification of training status (such as program confirmation or hospital ID)
Be approved by USMA after review of application and credentials
Rights and Privileges:
Attendance at USMA meetings and events
Participation in the House of Delegates (HOD) mentorship program
Participation in HOD committees and opportunities to speak on the floor of HOD
Exclusive CME products and educational resources
Access to professional development tools and programming
Participation in USMA policy, education, and advocacy initiatives

Qualified Members will:
Be currently enrolled in an accredited MD or DO program
Submit verification of student status (such as student ID or enrollment confirmation)
Be approved by USMA after application review

Participation in HOD committees and educational opportunities

Access to student-focused professional development tools
